In 2001, Adele P. Grubbs was elected Judge to the Superior Court of Cobb County.  Prior to her election eight years ago, Judge Grubbs was appointed Juvenile Court Judge and practiced law as an attorney for twenty-six years litigating both civil and criminal cases.  In 1976, she was appointed as the first woman to serve as Assistant District Attorney in Cobb County.

Judge Grubbs has presided over every type of case in each Court during her twelve years on the bench.  While in private practice prior to being appointed Judge, she specialized in trial work including divorce, custody, family law, business, criminal and personal injury.

As Assistant District Attorney, Judge Grubbs tried felony cases including murder, armed robbery and drug cases.  As an attorney, she was "AV" rated - the highest possible rating to be acquired.

Judge Grubbs brings a wealth of knowledge, intelligence and experience to the Superior Court of Cobb County.  She is a member of the National Coordinating Council on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.  The Junior League of Cobb-Marietta named her one of the 75 Outstanding Women in Cobb County and she was the 2005 Marietta Citizen of the year.
